What do you use your bra pins for?

tray_tubOur bra pins are proving to be very popular for walkers wanting to add to their fundraising. A few have been in touch to tell us what they use them for – hopefully this will inspire you as well!

Here’s what June uses them for:

June is the manager of a convenience store and recently bought ten boxes of bra pins. She is using her contacts to spread the word – and the pins! She has taken bra pins to her meetings at head office and has asked her teacher friends to put them into staff rooms. June’s 8 year old son is the star of the day who sold 200 bra pins after putting up a poster at his school and telling them about his mum going through treatment for breast cancer. June also takes bra pins on her training walks and sells them to curious passers by.

Anne-Marie:

Anne-Marie will be walking with us at the MoonWalk London in May and has bought 6 boxes of bra pins so far. She is asking friends and relatives to help, either by selling them personally or putting them into shops.  The bra pins went down really well at her workplace; the first box was sold in only half an hour! She hasn’t done any specific advertising, which shows you how powerful word of mouth can be! To boost her fundraising, she also left a collection tin in her work’s canteen.

Frances:

Frances is walking the MoonWalk London with her daughter, who set up a cake stall and tombola for raising funds. The first prize was a big cake decorated with white icing, Walk the Walk writing and a foot! Frances wears a Walk the Walk lanyard at work and keeps a poster and a box of bra pins on her desk. This seems to be working really well, as people stop and ask about Frances’ challenge and then buy or donate. Other friends also offered to help by taking boxes of bra pins from Frances and selling them to friends and colleagues.

Why not help others with ideas by letting us know how you have used yours?
